We're pretty excited about a new SEO for lawyers service we can offer you that lets you share your top reviews directly to your social media! This is called Social Sharing, and with it, 5-star reviews go directly to your Facebook page as a post and to Google Posts. Once the reviews are posted to Facebook, you can download them and cross-post to your business Twitter and Instagram, too. We're most excited about the Google Posts aspect of this service because it provides guaranteed unique content for Google's algorithms, plus these positive reviews are a great way to increase your rankings from search queries.
It's such an easy process, and the reviews can be customized with different fonts and backgrounds so they really pop on your social media feeds. It's part of our reputation builder service, and it's a great way to add fresh content to your media accounts, too.
Speaking of social media, I'm not sure if you follow @TomHartArtemis on Twitter, but I thought this tweet was interesting:
It's a new layout that Google is rolling out in France and Germany with a "find results" feature. Right now when you search your company name, or if you're looking for a certain kind of business near you, like "lawyers near me," you'll get Google reviews about the businesses along with the address, website, etc. This feature adds in an option to "Find results on Yellow Pages" and "Find results on Yelp". That's interesting to us, because people searching for our clients aren't just getting the Google reviews, but can get all your Yelp reviews right there. We're not sure which sites will be included in other countries, but it's pretty clear that managing your reviews is going to get much more important.
Local listings are going to be more important with the new Google services, too. We think it's pretty neat that people can be automatically linked to external sites when they search for local businesses, not just Google affiliates and google links. Trip Advisor and Groupon are some of the other sites that are featured in these "find results" options. So when these pop up in the U.S., we're going to be keeping a close eye on how it affects your Google traffic!

We'd like to shift gears a bit and talk bout one of our success stories, Mauren Repetto, a divorce attorney in Media, PA. She was recently featured in Suburban Life Magazine, both the print and the online versions. Suburban Life features only the best in each industry, and landing a full profile was exciting for Maureen. Maureen is especially passionate about protecting women in domestic disturbance and divorce cases and was instrumental in drafting the Protection from Abuse Act after a client was brutally killed during a bitter divorce and custody situation.
Maureen's firm is small, just her and Heather, an experienced paralegal, which means that every client is personally known to both Maureen and Heather. As a woman who has been through a divorce and who has children, Maureen is very relatable to her clients. She's walked in their shoes and she fights for assets and custody as if she were fighting for herself.
For an attorney like Maureen, having a reputation for defending the clients' best interests is critical. When you are in the midst of a personal situation, having a defense attorney you can trust makes a huge difference. We've helped Maureen gather reviews from satisfied clients and worked to manage her online reputation to highlight her passion for protecting women and children in divorce cases and afterward. It's not just gathering reviews that are important, though, it's getting these reviews where potential clients will see them, both on Maureen's web page and her social media.

Another Tweet that we found interesting, from @DarrenShaw_
In it, he mentions that previously, adding relevant keywords in your business description didn't affect your Google rankings. However, something seems to have changed. According to Google My Business help instructions, it's now recommended that your business description has local keywords to help customers find you more easily. This is a huge departure from how the Google algorithms have worked recently, and in fact, it seems to be a complete 180! Spammy" keywords in the business description used to actually drop businesses in the listings, but now it seems like some businesses are actually ranking higher than businesses that have a more readable business description one that actually provides customers with relevant information.
Adding local keywords and optimizing your business description is just smart SEO for lawyers but we think this interesting that Google claims that adding more keywords to your business description can improve your rankings. Many local SEO experts like us are disagreeing. Currently, we're testing with a few clients to see how their rankings change, and we're keeping a close eye on developments from Google and our peers. The help worksheet from Google can be misleading, but that's what our job is – to understand how the rankings actually populate.
Finally, we want to reiterate the importance of going after reviews. Customers trust reviews from people like them moreso than celebrity endorsements, and when you knock it out of the park for a client, we want to make sure that others know! As of January 1st, we now handle all aspects of reviews - everything from reaching out to your customers for reviews to responding to negative and positive feedback.
Best of all, this service is free for 14 days. After this trial period, if you wish to continue using it, you must register for $156/ per month. This is our best price offer. Till next time! And if you want to get your phone ringing with more paying clients. Give us a call about our SEO for lawyers and see if we can help!
