HTML Maintenance Plan details

What exactly is covered in HTML Maintenance Plan?  -
The Plan focuses on updates involving the content of your website. This content involves changing texts or images, that is in the body section of your website (i.e. any content between the header and footer of the page).

How do I determine if my website is eligible?  -
The HTML Maintenance package is designed to nicely coincide with our Limited-Budget customization package for basic HTML websites. To be eligible for the HTML Maintenance Plan, your website has to be in pure HTML format with maximum of 25 pages. Texts must be in text format and not in graphic text format. Graphic Texts are considered images. Flash websites are not supported.

If you need support for non-HTML websites, (e.g. Flash websites) send an email informing us of your particular needs.

Why do I need to update my website anyway?   -
It depends on what you're doing with your website, but we definitely recommend you plan for this. Content is crucial for optimisation and "fresh" or new content is an essential factor for ranking. Imagine a movie house that showed the same movie for a whole month. Moviegoers will definitely hate viewing the same movie for several times! Similarly, your website should always provide exciting updates and information in order for visitors to ask for more and view your website again. Otherwise the resources you dedicated to the development of your website will not be worth it. Websites can be updated daily, weekly and monthly depending on the nature of your services. With the dynamic nature of the Internet, your site should continually hook and delight readers.

How can I tell whether my website is pure HTML or not?  -
The best ways to find out is simply to contact us *. Nevertheless HTML websites usually have the .htm or .html file extensions. To check if your website is a pure HTML website, go to your website and look in the address bar in your browser. This is the bar that shows the URL or the page addresses of your website.

For example:

http://www.google.com/index.html or
http://www.google.com/index.htm

If you see only the main page's URL, like http://google.com, try clicking on links to the other pages of your website. If your website shows extensions like .php or .asp, these are more advanced websites with more advanced functionalities.

If you need support for non-HTML websites (e.g Flash websites), send an email informing us of your particular needs.

Where is the body section of a website?  -
Most websites has its own customized template. This template keeps the look and feel of the website consistent on all pages. It usually consists of a header (usually the top part of the page where the logos is), the navigational bar, sidebars and the footer. The Body section of the page is the part that changes on each page.

How many pages can I update in a month?  -
Updates are made by sessions. You can update as many pages as you want as long as all the updates are included in one session.

How many images in a page can I have updated?  -
You can have as many as you want as long as it is within the terms of acceptable number of images. A web page usually have an average of 2 - 3 photos and a few other graphic images. Web pages with lots of images such as Photo Galleries are limited only to 10 image updates per session.

If you have a several photo galleries that needs to be updated, please contact us for our standard maintenance package.

What if I have a revision after I submitted the updates?  -
You may opt to make revisions to your original service request with up to three rounds of changes at any time during the course of that particular session. Notwithstanding additional alteration might postpone initial estimated Turn-Around time.

Moreover revisions that are submitted after the third and final round are considered as another session, hence would be counted as the next session. If you've reached the limit for your sessions for that month, additional sessions are billed to your credit card at $49.99 per additional session.

On that note we strongly urge you to give all your information to your designer at once. This will avoid redundant correspondence, confusion, and multiple edits.
