3 Resources To Organize And Easily Email Your Leads For Free
There is no doubt, being able to follow up with your prospects & customers is the single most important marketing tool you absolutely need to have in order to continue to grow and sustain your business. To do that, and be affective at it, you need some sort of tool that allows you to organize and easily email your leads - where’s once text-based emails where consider the norm, and perhaps to this day you are still doing your marketing with basic text emails, there’s now a wealth of rich media, technology and functionality to consider. One solution, which is what I use and recommend all my clients to use, is the help of something like MailChimp, CakeMail and PHPList, these tools really make it easy to send and manage your HTML messages. Phplist in particular is great because it has a built in WYSIWYG HTML editor that allows you to create and view your HTML message even before you send it out, plus it's free! Other services such as MailChimp and the like, offer free newsletter templates you can edit. Besides that, ...
So You Think You’re A Web Designer..
That is the questions Homestead-design-seo.com asks. Is it ethical to pass yourself off as a web designer, when in fact your using Intuit's Homestead software to cut paste. Personally I would say there's nothing wrong with using the software within of itself, but just because anyone can make a website doesn't mean everyone should. Unfortunately because it is much easier to want to believe that it is that simple to make a successful website, many unsuspecting clients do fall pray to these guys. However these wannabe web designers aren't the only ones to blame, the majority of their client base are pretty wishy-washy too - cheep always looking to get something for nothing. I'm talking about small business owners who will rent expensive equipment, spend hundreds of dollars advertising on Yellow pages, and then hire an amature to do their website, or what's worse, try to do it themselves. "Do yourself - a HUGE favor. Do something else until you learn the right way to design sites. Otherwise you are doing the client a disservice and contributing to the ...
Build a Custom HTML5 Video Player: Free Premium Tutorial
Much like the other various Envato marketplaces, our newly launched Tuts+ marketplace will offer a free file each month. For September, that free file/tutorial just so happens to mine! I’ll show you how to build a custom HTML5 video player with Flash fallback support. Be sure to grab this one for free for the entire month of September. Next month, it’ll return to its original price. Though the idea of a video-specific HTML element was suggested well over a decade ago, we’re only just beginning to see this come to fruition! Forget all of that “HTML5 2012” mumbo-jumbo; the truth is that you can use the video element in your projects right now! The only problem is that the video players are inconsistent from browser to browser, and full-screen support is, at the time of this writing, only available in certain browsers, via a right-click. Further, what if we want to brand our video player? Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy way to do so by default. The solution is to create a custom player that remedies all of these ...
Twitter Contest – Up to 25% Discount for Every Participant!
The idea of a Weekly Editors Pick Twitter Contest came up in May when the yet to be unveiled site redesign was being done. It was getting to the point where many cool looking templates were being overlooked—great templates that we put back up three, maybe four months ago. I was worried that these templates would be lost amid the sea of daily new favorites. Thus, the Weekly Editors Pick idea emerged. In fact, we decided why not hop on the twitter bandwagon, make this a twitter contest too and give each participant a 20% promo code for any Foamers order. Besides that, all participants would be instantly eligible for an additional 25% discount on template customization. So, from now on, each week, we will comb through the site, pick out a couple of templates, and mark them with the prestigious “Editors Pick.” And we want you to help us choose the best! Contest entry is free of charge, you don’t need an invitation (as if!). All you need to do is follow the instructions below: Now let's ...
The Most Aesthetically Challenged Lawn Care Websites Ever!
I have put together a small list of sites in desperate need of a redesign! I'm not in anyway saying that this is a reflection on how they do business, nevertheless first impressions are lasting impressions. When a new visitor comes to your website an initial impression will be formed pretty quickly, and a bad first impression will drastically decrease your chances at getting that phone to ring. This list looks at 6 examples of some really bad impressions. This one has do it yourself written all over it.. love the borders guys very 1991-1995ish - white, yellow, green and red font nice touch.. Had to search really hard to find this one cause the page titles show up as Home, Home, Home on every page in the browser bar - guess its true what they say "where ever you go, there you are". Nice! oh, it gets worse! Saved the best for last. Read the footer, I'll bet Homestead 's made a million of these babies. 121 hits since 2008! Great job Rob!!! A lot of people make a lot of money in this business ...
Summers is here! Time to stop procrastinating.
Everyone procrastinates at some time in his or her life. As a self-employed web developer, I am certainly guilty as charged. That’s is why in this article I want to show you two things that have helped me, and give you some more incentives to get your business online right now! A – Complex projects often seem daunting and cause many people to procrastinate. When faced with a project that seems overwhelming in its complexity it is advisable to break the project down into smaller components and tackle each component individually. For example – if you need to redesign your website, but you don’t know where to start? Start by taking a good hard look at your website and ask yourself these two questions. How is my brand perceived as opposed to my competitors? How is my website doing in terms of aesthetics and functionality? If it’s not doing a good job, don’t just let it sit there, fix it fast! B – The inability to make decisions also contributes to procrastination. Many people simply spend too much time trying to make decisions about their website. While ...
